Your old clothes could win you a brand new outfit at Middleton Shopping Centre
Middleton Shopping Centre has joined forces with The Shaw Trust to launch The Spring Clothes Throw, an appeal for unwanted clothing to support the charity’s work helping disabled and disadvantaged people back into the workplace.
From 27th April – 27th May 2013, each time shoppers make a donation of unwanted clothing to the Shaw Trust’s charity shop at Middleton Shopping Centre will be entered into a competition to win themselves a fantastic new outfit from one of the stores at the shopping centre.
Shaw Trust is the UK’s largest third sector provider of employment services for disabled and disadvantaged people. The charity provides support to people who need help to be independent, economically active and to contribute to society.
Tessa Lancaster from the Shaw Trust said: “ People often throw quality clothes away without thinking that they could be of use elsewhere. We always need good quality donations of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing to keep our shops ticking over. “Howard Gibbons Centre manager at Middleton Shopping Centre said; “We are so proud to be supporting such a wonderful charity with the Spring Clothes Throw campaign.“We’d urge our shoppers to have a good look through their wardrobes and donate anything that could support the appeal, you might even win a fantastic new outfit to replace the clothes you’ve thrown away.”Back >
